Twenty sounds to fall asleep to. Nothing else.
A library of ambient loops to play on their own or layered together. A timer that fades out. A night mode that is almost dark. No guided meditation, no sleep tracking, no account.
The 20 ambient sounds
Long loops, cleanly recorded and played continuously — no audible seam, no duration on screen. Four sounds are free, one from each family.

Layer up to six sounds
Each sound is a horizontal layer. Drag it to set its volume: the target is the full width of the screen, so the gesture works in the dark, one-handed, without aiming. Save the blend and it comes back with one tap the next night.
- Adjust without lookingThe layer spans the whole width, so your thumb finds the target with your eyes closed.
- Saved mixesLast night's blend is waiting at the top of the home screen, one tap away.
- Fade outThe volume comes down over the last five minutes of the timer. Never an abrupt cut.
- Offline playbackThe loops live on the phone. Airplane mode, basement, night train: it plays.
Timer
Preset durations, reachable while playing without opening settings. No elapsed time on screen.
Night mode
While a sound plays, the screen dims to almost nothing — just enough to stop it at 3 a.m.
Widget
Start a sound from the lock screen, with its timer, without opening the app.

Frequently asked questions
Is there a subscription?
No. Four sounds are free, and the full version is a one-time purchase — the price for your country is shown on this page and in the store. There is no subscription anywhere in the app.
Do I need an account?
No. No email, no sign-up, no advertising. Your mixes stay on your phone.
Does it work without a connection?
Yes. All 20 loops are downloaded with the app and played locally, airplane mode included.
How many sounds can be layered?
Up to six at a time, each with its own volume, and the blend can be saved to start it again with one tap.
Do the sounds stop during the night?
That depends on the timer: 15 minutes to 1 h 30, or continuous playback. A fade-out brings the volume down before it stops.
Is there meditation or are there sleep stories?
No, and there will not be. Sleep.fm does one thing: play ambient sounds to fall asleep to.
Which devices?
iPhone on iOS 17 or later and Android 12 or later. The widget exists on both, on the home screen and the lock screen.
